Established in July, 1970, Sinopec Beijing Yanshan Petrochemical Company (BYPC) is an extra large petrochemical complex directly under Sinopec Group Company. There are 88 sets of petrochemical production plants and 71sets of auxiliary plants producing 411 grades of 94 kinds of petrochemical products. Beijing Dongfang Petrochemical Co., Ltd has 25 main production plants to produce 145 grades of 37 kinds of products. Among the main products, the production capacity of synthetic resin, synthetic rubber, phenol and acetone take the first place in China.
Crude oil processing capacity of BYPC is 10 million t/y. Complying with environment protection requirement of Beijing, gasoline and diesel oil have been upgraded to meet the market need of new standards of gasoline and diesel oil. BYPC is one of the largest petrochemical production bases with ethylene plant of 710,000 tons annual production capacity and corresponding downstream petrochemical production plants of synthetic resin, synthetic rubber and organic chemical materials. The capacity of synthetic resin is more than 1 million t/y. Total capacity of synthetic rubber is 240,000 t/y. BYPC is also one of the largest production bases of organic chemical materials.
