On June 27, 2007, Shaanxi Fuping Cement Co., Ltd. was acquired by Italcementi Group. This acquisition is not only the ITC’s first investment in China but also the Italian biggest foreign direct investment (FDI) in Shaanxi province。Shaanxi Fuping Cement Co., Ltd. was established on November 7 2003 and its registered capital is of 597 million RMB yuan. At present, it has one 5000 t/d (2 million t/y) new-type dry-method cement production line and one limestone quarry with good quality. Its “Fuli” brand cement is widely used in mass concrete works, high-rise buildings, highways, railways, bridges, tunnels, reservoirs, dams, airport runways and general industrial civil construction works.
