PSA PEUGEOT CITROEN (China)

With the benefit of the industrial and technological history of two great French makes of car, Peugeot and Citroën, the PSA Peugeot Citroën Group has become over the decades the second European car manufacturer. With 3.4 million vehicles sold in more than 140 countries in 2004, PSA Peugeot Citroën remains invigorated by the will to be tuned into the concerns of its clients, in terms of quality, style, comfort and security.
With a presence in China since 1992 with Citroën, then with Peugeot since 2002, associated with Dong Feng Motors, PSA Peugeot Citroën has been one of the first car makers to create and play a part in the birth of the Chinese automobile industry. The group is today the leading French private investor in China. Equally present through its subsidiaries Faurecia, Gefco, and Banque PSA Finance, PSA Peugeot Citroën maintains its desire to make its developmental mark in China in the long term, with its partner, Dong Feng Motors, China figures in its development priorities.
The size of PSA Peugeot Citroën - turnover of 56.8 billion euros, 208,000 members of staff spread over more than 50 sites - makes the group a big industrial player but also a leading company in Europe, as in countries where it is developing.
Thus, in China as in the rest of the world, PSA Peugeot Citroën has at a basic level to face up to three big challenges with which all of the large countries of the world are confronted, and without which sustainable growth will not be achieved: improve urban mobility, reduce greenhouse gas emissions from automobiles, and heighten road safety, in partnership with all of the relevant parties.
