On August 26th, the All China Lawyers Association (ACLA) released Chinese Legal Industry Social Responsibility Report for the first time. The report summarizes Chinese Lawyers' contribution on the people livelihood, development of legal government, social management innovation, philanthropy and development of pro bono legal services.
The reportmainly summarizes Chinese lawyers’practice of socialist legal ideology in recent years: to serve and protect the livelihood; to actively participate in politics and serve the legal state construction; to participate in social management innovation,to resolve social conflicts under laws and maintain social harmony and stability; to carry out diversified public services and make considerable charitable donations. The achievements reached by industry associations in the development of public legal servicescomprehensive displayt hat Chinese lawyers strive to safeguard the legitimate rights of vulnerable groups and social fairness and justiceand actively fulfill their social responsibilities.
