Environmental protection policies enhanced, EMC market may be doubled in 3 years

On July 12, the executive meeting of State Council planed to speed up energy conservation and environmental protection. The meeting requires that environmental protection needs support from policy and innovation scheme, encouraging social capital, including private ones to participate. The meeting also emphasized using EMC to build up environmental protection.
Energy Management Contract (EMC) is a new market oriented energy saving mechanism, in which energy conservation service companies sign contracts with clients to provide plans, financing, equipment purchasing and implementation. In return, the service companies get benefits from the saved energy.
