The CDM project applied by Linfeng Environmental power generation Plant under HeBei Construction & investment Group C., ltd. has been registered in UN Clean Development Mechanism Executive Board (CDMEB) and became the first registered CDM project in garbage combustion power generation industry.
The CDM allows emission-reduction projects in developing countries to earn certified emission reduction (CER) credits. These CERs can be traded and sold, and used by industrialized countries to a meet a part of their emission reduction targets under the Kyoto Protocol. Due to complicated registration process of CDM project, presently only 14 domestic garbage combustion power generation plants have been registered as CDM projects. Annually Linfeng Environmental power generation project can reduce carbon emission by more than 140,000 tons and achieve revenue of more than 700,000 RMB.
