UNDP China and China International Economic and Exchange Center released a report calling for global governance institutional reform so that other developing countries can get more say. Zen Peiyan, the Director General of China International Economic and Exchange Center, and Helen Clark, the head of UNDP, attended the press conference.
The report, entitled as Reconstruction of Global Governance - Effectiveness, Inclusiveness and China's Global Role, pointed out three main challenges faced by the global governance system: changes in geographic distribution of global power with the emerging economic entities rising; global public goods supply needing to be promoted under laws and fairness. It also gives an in-depth analysis of these issues and their background and detailed interpretation of the more and more important role that China plays in international affairs.
