Wu Han, the former vice director of National Energy Administration, gave an analysis and prediction on the developing trend of energy consumption and measures that energy industries nay adopt in china. He says that coal usage means and distribution will face huge reconstructions. Making coal into oil and natural gas is adopted by many enterprises in Beijing-Tinajin-Hebei areas, Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta since is can reduce most PM 2.5 emission and centralize the processing of carbon dioxide.
As for the energy consumption trend in China, Wu says that primary energy consumption will maintain slower increase and energy industry restructuring will be accelerated. In his opinion, China should promote the power system reform; make electricity interaction more market-oriented band change power pricing system to cope with the developing trend of renewable and distributed energies. China also should accelerate natural gas price reform to curb the rapid increasing irrational consumption through market mechanism and improve the initiative of enterprises in production and importing.
