In order to hold a successful 2013 Summer World Economic Forum, Dalian not only provides pavilions with innovative elements, but also practices green and thrifty concept.
2013 Summer World Economic Forum was held in Dalian International Convention Center, which added other charms to the forum with its unique design and perfect conference function. It is known that the whole structure of the international convention center is steel structural grid. On the top of the hall are many reflectors which can reflect sunshine in the north building where is no sunshine. This design both provides sunshine and reduces energy consumption, which reflects the concept of environmental protection. In addition, the inner convention center adopts landscape heating in winter and sea water cooling in summer.
Besides, this forum is a thrifty forum with the application of used furniture and energy-conservation electric vehicles and hybrid cars.
