China and U.S. signed Atmospheric Science and Technology Cooperation Protocol

China Meteorological Administration (CMA) and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, USA (NOAA) prolonged China-US Atmospheric Science and Technology Cooperation Protocol on the afternoon of September 1. Mr. Zhang Guoguang, Administrator of CMA and China Leader of Joint Working Group, and Dr. Louis W. Uccellini, Assistant Administrator for Weather Services of NOAA and US Leader of Joint Working Group, singed the Summary of 19th Joint Working Group Session on Cooperation in the Field of Atmospheric Science and Technology respectively, indicating further cooperation projects in the next two years in fields of climate research, high-impacted weather, numerical forecast, satellite, training, and meteorological modernization.
