Chinese President Xi Jinping and U.S. President Obama marked another major milestone in their joint cooperation in the fight against climate change, with the release of a Sino-U.S. Joint Presidential Statement on Climate Change on September 25th, which contained their common commitment to an ambitious outcome at the Paris climate conference. A new era of multilateral climate diplomacy is coming, and a new pillar of China-US bilateral relations has formed. Both presidents believed that climate change was one of the greatest challenges, and both countries played an important part in combating climate change. They were determined to implement domestic climate policies, strengthen bilateral coordination and cooperation, and promote sustainable development and green, low-carbon and climate-friendly economic transformation.
