China becomes an association country of International Energy Agency

China became an association country of the International Energy Agency (IEA) at the 2015 IEA Ministerial Meeting on the 18th. The theme of the Meeting is “Innovation for a Clean, Secure Energy Future”. The ministers and senior officers from 29 IEA member countries and 9 partner countries participated in the Meeting, and discussed the key issues related to energy and the world’s future energy system transformation for addressing climate change. China formally became an IEA association country at the Meeting. It is known that the IEA is composed of member countries, association countries and partner countries.
