The first 11 national standards for greenhouse gases management issued

The Standardization Administration of the People’s Republic of China approved and issued the first 11 national standards including General Rules for Industrial Enterprises Greenhouse Gas Emission Accounting and Reporting and greenhouse gas emission management of ten key industries such as power generation, iron steel, civil aviation, chemical industry and cement. The standards set unified requirements for “what to be calculated” and “how to calculate” related to enterprise greenhouse gas emission, which provides technical support for the decrease of enterprise carbon emission reduction cost and the establishment of nationally unified carbon emission trading market. The new standards will be implemented on June 1 next year.
