The First International Forum on Energy Transitions was opened in Suzhou on November 6. The Forum was co-sponsored by the National Energy Administration, the People’s Government of Jiangsu Province and the International Renewable Energy Agency. It is themed with “global energy transformation and China energy transitions”, aiming to construct a communication and cooperation platform for future energy development and transformation. Wang Yong, State Councilor, Nur Bekri, Vice Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission and Director of the National Energy Administration, and Li Xueyong, Provincial Governor of Jiangsu Province, attended the opening ceremony and made speeches.
The Forum lasted for three days. Politicians, famous scientists, experts, scholars and industry representatives from many countries and regions over the world discussed, learned from each other and sought good development policies with the topics such as the energy production and technology revolution, energy consumption revolution, energy system innovation and international energy cooperation under the background of global energy transformation.
