On December 29, the 2016 National Energy Working Conference was held in Beijing. At present, installed capacity of renewable energy in China accounted for 24 percent of the world total quantity. The newly increased installed capacity occupied 42 percent. Thus China has become one of the leading countries in the world in energy saving, new energy and renewable energy utilization. Nur Bekri, the director of the National Energy Administration, has mentioned that the work in 2016 would concentrate on improving the quality and efficiency of energy development, focus on the structure perfection and industrial improvement, and to construct a clean, secure and efficient modern energy system and facilitate the sustainable development of economic society.
