Hainan Province recently issued a "green building activity implement plan" (hereinafter referred to as "Program") that during the "Twelfth Five-Year" period, Hainan will complete  5.5 million square meters of new urban green building, 300, 000 square meters of public building energy-saving renovation , and finished the reconstruction demonstration of 2000 sets of rural buildings.

According to the “program”, Hainan Prvince will carry out green building activity, demanding new constructed buildings to meet the mandatory energy efficiency standards. By the end of 2015, 20% of urban new buildings will meet green building standards.
