NDRC: speeds up to formulate low carbon urbanization pilot facilities

On December 18-19, experts’ discussion meeting and the work communicating conference on the implementation plans for pilot of national low-carbon cities and towns was held in Beijing. Academician Du Xiangwan, director of the National Climate Change Expert Committee, former vice president of the Chinese Academy of engineering, hosted the experts’ discussion meeting as the leader of the expert group. The conference has discussed pilot implementation plans from eight pilot units of low-carbon cities and towns and formulated opinions and suggestions for the further improvement.
