The old 1# blast-furnace chimney at Hangzhou Iron & Steel Iron-making Plant, which had worked for more than half a century, was torn down, marking the end of high energy consumption era in Hangzhou. Moreover, about 500 or 600 enterprises in the central downtown were successively shut down and relocated.
